Super100 wool fabric with a technical membrane on the backside called warmsense.
Warmsense reacts to UV rays and warms up the fabric (up to 3°C) in cold sunny days. The fabricis also breathable and water resistant.
The wool from the fabric supplier Reda is ZQ certified, and is pure Merino wool from sheep reared on their own farms in New Zealand. It relies on a vertically integrated process totally controlled and guided by the principle of sustainability in a system of eco-management. It is also the only wool mill in the world that holds the EMAS (Eco Management and Audit Scheme) environmental certification. This is a European Union initiative designed to monitor and improve companies’ environmental performance.

Our autumn 2014 collection is inspired by the futuristic form of German research and experience centre Paläon, created by swiss architects Holzer Kobler Architekturen. The mirror like facade reflects its placement in a historical site where some of the most important stone age finds were ever made, bringing together the futuristic design with the past. The graphic lines, shades, the volume and the reflection of the historical surroundings make it a unique and dramatic work of art. these are the dynamics that grounds the autumn 2014 collection.

Summer 2014
Corralejo
Journals Summer 2014 Collection is inspired by the grave contrast of beautiful city Corralejo. Based in the Atlantic Ocean in spanish colony Fuerteventura, the beaches, the light and the reflection of the sea shows the citys amazing mix of colours.
The complexity of being both a bohemian haven and a stereotypical tourist trap at the same time, shows the citys two faces. All depending on where you make a turn you will either find a typical main street full of european tourists or a hidden surfers paradise.
Reflections of the eclectic surroundings is the key word for the Summer 2014 Collection; colours from the sea, graphic shapes, tourist styling but with a carefree bohemian feel.
This collection emphasize our signature fabric consiousness; silk blend yarns, indigo dyed linen from Italy, jaqard woven and garment dyed items ,liberty art fabrics drawn by artist OK David, all defines the collection.
Journal Summer 2014 Collection ’Corralejo’ is a carefree yet well defined collection, with the characteristic Journal signature.
The collection is available in selected shops from mid April 2014.
